Family Night Activities
While your children are still living at home, it is a good idea to have “Family Night” on a regular basis. Depending on the needs of your family, it could be done once a week, twice a month, or whatever works best for you. Set aside the time and don’t let anything interfere. Making it a priority is the only way to be sure it really gets done. Start when the kids are very small, so it will be a life-long memory for them. Plan specific activities and make it fun. Read aloud books, movies, board games, hide and seek, charades, handcrafts, singing or playing music, or making holiday decorations are just a few ideas for Family Night activities. The important things are to make it fun for everyone, do it regularly, and make sure it actually happens. You, as parents, will love it, the kids will love it, and it will make memories that the whole family will share forever.
